American Recall Center

I’m Dr. Mario Trucillo of the American Recall Center, a brand new medical news site aimed at bringing consumers the most up-to-date FDA information in easy to understand, plain language terms. A few months ago I reached out to you about a piece we were putting together on diabetes awareness with help from bloggers in the community. I wanted to reach out once again, as I’d love your help in getting the word out about the new site and the resources we provide. In my research, I found that there are no other sites out there with the same mission as us: to make complicated medical info easy to understand. That’s why I’m so excited about this new endeavor!

Starting Pump Therapy

After many months of waiting, I have started the process to use the insulin pump to help control my diabetes. I decided to settle for the Medtronics 722 pump. Before starting the pump therapy, I need to visit my eye specialist and do HBA1C tests . My appointment with the eye specialist is today but I have to wait until the 18th of Feb to see the specialist doctor to start the pump therapy.

Insulin Pump Therapy

Evidence and personal accounts from diabetics seem to suggest that better control and delaying long term complications has been achieved by using the insulin pump. The doctor in the video is a diabetic who has been on the pump since 1981.
